Gemma Bovery

Last time at Ambler and I saw Gemma Bovery, modern remake of Flaubert's novel Madame Bovary. It was a funny, yet tragic, story and honestly a lot better than I thought it was going to be. The narrator is the baker in town and Gemma's French neighbor across the street. He is hilarious and tells the happenings as they are. And he thinks she is going down the path of Madame Bovary and intervenes. But I think it was good to say goodbye to Ambler with a solo trip and doing all my usual habits.
