Yummy omelette after riding the streetcar to 4th Ave, with Patrick and a few of his friends. Lots of walking afterwards but still feels amazing to unlock the brace and walk (somewhat) normally again. I'm still as slow as a grandma but I'm getting there.

Ridin Dirty
Well this happened today. I was complaining to Patrick that it was hard for me to walk up and down the aisles and one of the employees overheard me. And he drove up to me in this. It was so funny. And I rode around the grocery store like this. I had to keep telling people sorry because it's much harder than it looks. And I felt like a fraud because I can walk okay. But I just couldn't believe I was riding all around, like an old person. It was too funny.

The (Penultimate) Last Supper
Just some chicken wings, mac & cheese bites, and friends at ATL Wings. You gotta try their seasoned wings. Delicious. And I'm definitely going back. But maybe after my retakes, the first of which is tomorrow morning.

Ben's Bells
For those looking for a quick way to help the community and break out your grade school art skills, try going to Ben's Bells Project. The goal of Ben's Bells is to spread kindness in the community. They create wind-chimes that serve as a visual reminder to be kind. There is also many mosaic murals around Tucson that have kindness themes to them. While Patrick and I were there, we painted "kindness coins," a little flower-shaped ceramic piece. And soon they'll be part of some wind-chime!

Hobbling to Ice Cream
This little bugger made me walk in my leg brace all the way to the ice cream shop and ate my ice cream. I guess it was more like a hobble than a walk but it was well worth the struggle. The caramel was delicious and the mint was super minty. I suggested we do an ice cream tour of Tucson in addition to our quest for the best burger and best burrito. I can never say no to ice cream.

Just Watched: Top of the Lake
Netflix account people (or people who steal someone else's account)--listen up! I just finished Top of the Lake, a BBC produced series that takes place in a rural New Zealand town. Robin, the main character and a detective, returns to her hometown after many years in Australia. She takes on the case of a missing 12-year-old girl who turns out to be pregnant. She has to deal with her haunted past as well as the case. It's very good if you like crime shows and exquisite scenery. And I just absolutely adore everything Robin wears--except for her Uggs. But still, it's only one season and worth a watch.

Fourth of July Fireworks
After being bed-ridden (or more like couch-ridden) the past week after surgery, it felt very devious and sneaky leaving the house for an hour or two. We packed up my ice machine and crutches and headed to ENR2 to see the fireworks over A Mountain. Patrick set up his camera and took some really nice pictures of the fireworks. Some showed the shadow of A Mountain, right behind the skyline. While my picture is not that good, I was just so glad to be out of the house and that Patrick planned our adventure.
