Calm Before The Storm

We have spent the weekend before school starts in Ocean City the past few years. It's has always been a nice time to relax before the grind of work and running and activities and friends begin again. Some highlights include seeing my cousins, seeing Cody, hermit crabs, Johnson's popcorn, FOOD in general, 5k race for Crohns, etc etc. A great time to re-energize before school. I really like it.

Last Day of Work

Thursday was the last day of my internship. A little bittersweet. I think that would be the best way to describe it. Bittersweet. While I'm excited for school to start, I enjoyed taking the train into Center City and working in my own office. I guess this is what being an adult is. Well I have at least one more year (and maybe more) before I work 40 hour weeks. Until then, I guess.

I had the best view.

My computer was so slow.

See that building on the left? I was on the 14th floor.

Walks at Lunch

"Take a walk and appreciate all the beauty that still surrounds you."

Found by Washington Square Park today. So easily overlooked.

World Lion Day

I'm not really sure how I became obsessed with lions. I'm really not but when I see anything lion related, I have to send it to Adam. I think it's because I thoroughly enjoy puns and love saying "I'm not lion" or "I'm not kitten". So I hope everyone is dolphinitely able to celebrate World Lion Day today. Yes I did that on porpoise. And no I'm not lion.

Railroad Tracks

"When man tires of running, he is tired of life." Well, that may not be the exact quote but my sister takes liberty with it and so do I. I see so much when I run. I've been running at this park for 8 years now and I am still amazed that I never tire of it. An old regional rail line runs through the park and I'd often run awkwardly on the tracks because my legs were never the correct length. While the railroad ties are being pulled up now, I still like finding those little trails that no one ever seems to be on.

Seen at Lollapalooza

Okay, so I've been watching Lollapalooza live for the past couple hours but I really wanted to see The Head and the Heart, who I became invested in through a certain someone. I found this video (the song is pretty great on its own) and the most amazing thing happened. See 4:34. I KNOW HIM. It's so funny and great and amazing. I guess it's the small things in life that make it worth it.

Dinner and Ice Cream

Dinner at a little sweet cafe on the small town main street in Ambler. And ice cream after. What could be better?
