I came up with a clever post title (Monday with Mom) only to realize it was actually Sunday. So anyway, today was the last day of her visit and consisted mostly of us food shopping. But in the morning, we went to a local track so I could get a workout in. Even at 8 am, it was stinking hot. But the location is just so beautiful. We went to mass at the university chapel and lunch at a local Greek taverna. I was really excited to eat my breakfast for lunch (so brunch?)--and it was so good. It was really convenient to have my mom here because she rented a car. I could stock up on frozen food without having to worry about it melting on my 4 mile bike ride home. It was sad to see her go this afternoon. It's hard being away from people you know very well. I know that I won't be getting many, if any, visitors this year so that's tough as well. And it always stinks to have to go back to doing homework when I've been relaxing all weekend. But thanks for the visit mom. You (and anyone!) are welcome back anytime!
